"Clash of the Titans" and other Warner Bros. films to be released in 3D

Warner Bros. Pictures has been steadily making short forays into the third dimension with such films as "The Polar Express", "Superman Returns", and the last 2 installments of Harry Potter.  This time, though, they are aiming to take a leap and convert an entire feature film to 3D.  Working with Prime Focus, one of the visual effects vendors for "Avatar", the studio and partner Legendary Pictures just announced that they will be releasing "Clash of the Titans" entirely in 3D.

Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution for Warner Bros., said the studio is confident in the technology, and that Titans will feature high-quality images.  "Based on our track record, we know that audiences are embracing the RealD and IMAX experiences, and we see many opportunities on our film slate to provide moviegoers with these great options at the multiplex," he added.

WB is also going to convert some of their other 2010 titles in 3D:  “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” (July), “Guardians of Ga’Hoole” (September) and “Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows, Part 1” (November).

"Clash of the Titans" will debut on 3 April 2010 worldwide, including the Philippines, in 2D and in 3D where available.
